Artist statement of this work: From time to time, paintings take shape because of a spiritual relationship I have with the art, the earth and the metaphysical spirits in every living thing. This painting is a reflection of two individuals who are spiritually connected, and are about to share something of great worth. My paintings work best when they come through inspiration and personal discovery.
This piece may be purchased at the online Gallery Bluethumb
I video’d my painting process today . Not knowing beforehand what I am going to paint it surprised me. I don’t usually do flowers, it grew on me after a while 🌼🙂
China has been suffering horrendous flooding and other major calamities in the last 2 months. I’m hoping that it will hold the CCP in check but really feel for all the people suffering there. So this painting came together today, I think its appropriate for our times.
Well here we are again, writing a blog on another brand new website. I am dedicating this Gallery mainly to my Spiritual arts, so that my Facebook page of the name, Spiritual Arts and Humanities has a website for visitors to click on.
My last exhibition when Covid 19 struck was called Faith in the Highest and I hadn’t realized before then how much my work revolved around my faith now. I love the Lord because he first loved me and I am so thankful to Him for restoring my life after the Hell I went through in my early years. We believe that He is returning sooner than People think and could be in the next year or two or three. In any event we hope it wont be too long as we are pretty sure where the world is heading.
But brighter things are needed at this time and art is a sure way to go. I have put a number of Paintings in the Gallery and I have started teaching portraits via video, just beginner to intermediate and I will share a drawing that I did last Sunday, and a painting I did today that match a few others. I have plans to make them patriotic with the Australian Flag. I do hope you can enjoy these two, and the Gallery.
A pose I was able to use from Pinterest, thinking of painting the Australian Flag in the background.Sunday’s sketch of man I found on Pinterest, for want of someone to draw. not for sale.
