Artist statement of this work: From time to time, paintings take shape because of a spiritual relationship I have with the art, the earth and the metaphysical spirits in every living thing. This painting is a reflection of two individuals who are spiritually connected, and are about to share something of great worth. My paintings work best when they come through inspiration and personal discovery.

What is the value of lockdown if you do not try something new? For me, I am teaching myself to weave. I have a new loom, in addition to my Ashford rigid heddle. I created a baby blanket as a gift for a friend using hand-dyed wool. What do you think?
As an artist, I feel like I have different styles within the body of my own work. These are not academically labelled or styled, but different ways in which I feel my work is developed from within me. This work is a combination of two of my interpersonal styles. I am not sure it worked, what do you think?
I have been weaving and made a Top to wear out of Patons Sierra 8ply. And a skirt with %100 wool from the Bendigo Woolen Mills. Didn’t take Too long I’ve also been
spinning and making myself a Knitted poncho type coat which I should finish next week. When we win the war with Covid vaccine I will be able to open my studio Gallery again for the Pyrenees Farm Gate Trail again. I had lighting installed and a wee coffee machine to make an espresso for my visitors with a sitting area and I will give demonstrations of different aspects of the work if you are interested. Very much looking forward to seeing you.
I added a posy of wild flowers to my painting, only small to not detract from the background. But I hope they havn’t become the focal point which will detract from the original expression and intention. My painting is really about the dysfunction in my family and the flowers intention is for the white daisies to let go with forgiveness, blue for forget me knots and magenta petals for love.
Thought I’d share an image that also reminds me of the time spent with my family,
Well here we are again, writing a blog on another brand new website. I am dedicating this Gallery mainly to my Spiritual arts, so that my Facebook page of the name, Spiritual Arts and Humanities has a website for visitors to click on.
My last exhibition when Covid 19 struck was called Faith in the Highest and I hadn’t realized before then how much my work revolved around my faith now. I love the Lord because he first loved me and I am so thankful to Him for restoring my life after the Hell I went through in my early years. We believe that He is returning sooner than People think and could be in the next year or two or three. In any event we hope it wont be too long as we are pretty sure where the world is heading.
But brighter things are needed at this time and art is a sure way to go. I have put a number of Paintings in the Gallery and I have started teaching portraits via video, just beginner to intermediate and I will share a drawing that I did last Sunday, and a painting I did today that match a few others. I have plans to make them patriotic with the Australian Flag. I do hope you can enjoy these two, and the Gallery.
